INVERSIONS PART IV
Adho Mukha Vrksasana and Pinca Mayurasana - Handstand and Forearmstand - Arm balances
Time 5pm - 8pm
In these workshops you will learn why we practice them, contradictions and variations, how to prepare yourself for inversions in a safe way, slowly building up towards self-practice with confidence, trust and courage, not only to do the pose but to hold it and come out from it in a safe, controlled way.
You will consciously work towards it, even if you are not able to do it right now or during the workshops, you will be equipped with all possible tools and necessary information.
Every workshop will be a whole practice from preparatory to restorative poses. It is a recommended sequence to learn inversions but we practice them in reverse, so we will gradually build up our awareness and strength. You can choose one or any that you think will be most suitable and beneficial for your practice.
You are welcome to join if you are a beginner with at least a few months of regular practice or anyone who would like to come back to basics/ looking for some inspiration on how to use props or modify.
After the payment you will receive a registration link and a manual with details. Later on there will be recordings available for those of you who cannot make it on the day and those who want to practice at any time in between workshops.
We will use all the possible props, so if you can prepare the following props or any other which might work as a substitute: * access to the wall (door, wardrobe etc) * thick, rather hard than soft blankets * yoga belt (with solid buckle) * bricks x 2 * bolsters x 2 (preferably) * folded solid or preferably yoga chair
